NBAA\u2019s\u00a0Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE, often just called \u201cNBAA\u201d)<\/a> is the largest trade show event focusing on business aviation. Having attended more NBAAs than I care to admit, one thing I’ve learned for sure\u2014whether you’re a first-time visitor or a grizzled vet, with a little planning, this show can be the most rewarding (and exhausting) three days of your life.<\/p>\n

With NBAA2025 set for Oct. 14-16 in Las Vegas, the time to prepare is now. So, I’ve picked the brains of my fellow NBAA vets, putting together their pro tips and advice for getting the most out of the show, and answering the more common first-time attendee questions like what to wear at NBAA, what to pack, and where to go.<\/p>\n

Here are their tips for attending NBAA-BACE:<\/p>\n

Attire \u2013 It\u2019s still \u201cbusiness\u201d aviation, but it\u2019s steadily becoming more casual<\/h2>\n

Unlike other large trade shows trending toward very casual dress, NBAA still sits along the spectrum of business formal and business casual.<\/p>\n

For men, attire runs the gamut from polo and khaki pants to business suits. The same \u201csharp, business casual\u201d look can be said for women, opting for a tailored jacket and skirt or pantsuit. Most importantly, leave the high heels at the hotel or pack them in your carry bag to change into them on the fly. If you must wear a heel, a platform base pump with a block heel is your friend!<\/p>\n

If you plan to wear a suit and it\u2019s been a while since you\u2019ve tried it on, make sure you do so before arriving! This is one of the most common complaints I hear every year, and it sneaks up on even the most seasoned vets.<\/p>\n

While the days are more business attire, make sure you bring some casual attire for nights out as well. And be ready to dance!<\/p>\n

Pro tip:<\/strong> Whatever shoes you bring, ensure they aren\u2019t brand new! You want something broken in. While the trade floor may look carpeted, it\u2019s really just some tissue paper sitting on miles on concrete aisles. Save yourself the blisters. Your feet will thank you!<\/p>\n
