San Francisco (Jan. 5, 2016) – Air Culinaire Worldwide announced today the opening of a new 5,000-square-foot in-flight catering facility in San Francisco. The facility, located directly across from San Francisco International Airport (KSFO / SFO) in south San Francisco, quadruples capacity just prior to one of the largest professional football sporting events in the United States, which will be held Feb.7, 2016.

“Our new San Francisco culinary center represents Air Culinaire Worldwide’s next generation of chef-driven concierge service facilities and will enable us to better serve our clients’ and guests who use San Francisco as a hub for national and international private aviation travel,” said Steven Roberts, Senior Vice President of Operations, Air Culinaire Worldwide. “The new facility includes an expanded hot food area, a massive refrigerated storage area, and a sous-vide system (method of treating food by partial cooking followed by vacuum-sealing and chilling) that will allow for increased flavor and presentation for time-intensive dishes. With the additional capacity, we’ll be able to enhance our full-suite of custom-tailored services and exceptional offerings for our clients, including exceptional regional and international cuisine, as well as on-site food safety and culinary training.”

Heading up the team is Jean-Louis Brocardi, who was previously the general manager of Air Culinaire Worldwide Paris. Jean-Louis brings more than 20 years of culinary leadership experience to the San Francisco team. He has managed in unique culinary environments such as France, New York, Palma de Mallorca, St. Martin and Bogota, and is a frequent traveler to the top culinary destinations around the world, giving him a truly global perspective and invaluable experience. Jean-Louis will be using this knowledge to infuse the local menu and offerings with his unique culinary flair, including new menus, tastings and an emphasis on crowdsourcing and working with Air Culinaire Worldwide clients to co-create signature dishes.
