Sherrell Hare
Here at Universal, our people are our brand. We believe that each individual helps deliver on our core promise and adds to the success of our customers’ missions. For this month’s Employee Spotlight, we introduce you to Sherrell Hare, Logistics Support Coordinator.
Sherrell joined Universal, on May 5 of 2006. She heard about Universal after posting her resume online and receiving a call from one of Universal’s recruiters. “When I heard about the job title and the possibility of working in the aviation industry it was very exciting to take on a new challenge of learning something different and new.”
A typical day for Sherrell begins by coordinating any open activities with the previous shift. Once she has established a good starting point she then moves on to the action list where she verifies what tasks have been assigned and supports the team with any urgent and pressing requests that may require upcoming or immediate attention. Throughout her day, Sherrell makes it a priority to provide procedural guidance to her fellow colleagues to support the business needs that may arise.
Sherrell has accomplished some great things since joining Universal. She has played an instrumental part in the support of the Mission Advisor role by ensuring the products and service requests for each customer mission are arranged both accurately and in a timely manner. Sherrell is a wealth of knowledge and is happy to share what she knows with those around her. She truly is a team player and understands the importance of teamwork and commitment.
When asked what she values most about Universal Sherrell said, “Having the opportunity to provide a high level of service to our customers while also building relationships with people all around the world is very rewarding.”
One of Sherrell’s favorite memories working at Universal was the moment she was informed that she had officially completed and passed her initial training and was able to begin her new career as a Logistics Support Coordinator. “It was one of the happiest moments of my life!”
When Sherrell is not at work, she enjoys watching the food network and challenging herself to mimic the dishes that they make with her own personal twist on the recipe.
