Universal to Showcase Latin American Presence and Service Offerings at LABACE 2008

São Paulo, Brazil (Aug. 14, 2008) – Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. will showcase its Latin American presence and full range of core services for Latin America-based operators under the theme of delivering successful trips at LABACE 2008 in São Paulo, Brazil, Aug. 14-16 at Universal® Booth # 3007.

Universal Aviation(sm), the worldwide ground support division of Universal®, will be providing ground handling coordination for aircraft that are participating in the LABACE 2008 static display.

Highlights of Universal's presence at LABACE include the announcement that:

  • Starting in early 2009, private aircraft traveling to the United States via Latin America will be able to preclear all U.S. Customs and Immigration at Aruba's general aviation terminal (GAT), which is operated by Universal Aviation Aruba N.V.

Universal's booth # 3007 will feature information on how the company can deliver successful trips through its comprehensive product and service offerings available to Latin-America based operators traveling both regionally and globally.   • Demos of Universal’s suite of Online Trip Services, including:
    • UVflightplanner.com(sm), Universal's Web-based flight planning and weather tool
    • UVtriplink(sm) Trip Status tool, which allows Universal® clients to filter and view specific trip information, print leg-specific sections, or access the status of their entire trip – including embedded confirmation messages – with less than three clicks of the mouse.
    • UVTripPlanner(sm), a comprehensive and accurate pre-flight reference tool featuring worldwide airport data for over 25,000 airports across the globe.
    • UVdatalink®, which now supports ACARS through Iridium®, provides users flexibility and an additional option to still utilize the system when outside of VHF range.
