THE OFFICIAL LEAD TIME FOR LANDING PERMITS IS 5 WORKING DAYS. CHARTER FLIGHTS CONDUCTING TECH STOPS ONLY WITHOUT ANY PASSENGERS EMBARKING OR DISEMBARKING DON’T REQUIRE A LANDING PERMIT.

APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTATION NEEDS TO ACCOMPANY ALL LANDING PERMIT REQUESTS.

EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT NEED TO OBTAIN A LANDING PERMIT WHEN TRAVELING TO THIS COUNTRY WITH A MINIMUM LEAD TIME OF 3 WORKING DAYS.

RUSSIA COUNTRY INFORMATION

LANDING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL AIRCRAFT TRAVELING TO THIS COUNTRY. LEAD TIME DEPENDS ON THE NUMBER OF FLIGHTS OPERATED TO RUSSIA WITHIN A MONTH. OVERFLIGHT PERMITS ARE NEEDED WHEN TRANSITING THE AIRSPACE. A OVERFLIGHT PERMIT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THE INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS OF AIRCRAFT OVER THE NEUTRAL WATERS IN THE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION WITHOUT ENTRY INTO THE SOVEREIGN AIRSPACE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION, BUT A FLIGHT PLAN MUST BE ON FILE.

AIRCRAFT ARE PROHIBITED FROM OPERATING DIRECTLY BETWEEN RUSSIA AND GEORGIA AIRPORTS. AIRCRAFT HOWEVER ARE ALLOWED TO OVERFLY RUSSIA WHEN OPERATING TO AND FROM GEORGIA AIRPORTS.

IF A OPERATOR IS TRAVERSING THE AREA WITH A CALL SIGN OR FLIGHT NUMBER, THE PERMIT MUST BE REQUESTED USING THAT CALL SIGN OR FLIGHT NUMBER. IF NEITHER A CALL SIGN NOR FLIGHT NUMBER IS USED, THEN APPLY FOR THE PERMIT USING THE REGISTRY.

THE "PURPOSE" OF THE FLIGHT IS NEEDED FOR BOTH LANDING AND OVERFLIGHT PERMITS.

AIRCRAFT WITH TEMPORARY REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE WON’T BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN A PERMIT.

CABOTAGE RULES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED. PASSENGERS (LESS THAN 19) MUST ARRIVE AND DEPART RUSSIA INTERNATIONALLY ON AIRCRAFT IN ORDER TO TRAVEL DOMESTICALLY ON AIRCRAFT.

A NAVIGATOR IS ONLYT REQUIRED FOR INTER (REMOTE) COUNTRY FLYING.

GEORGIA COUNTRY INFORMATION

LANDING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL AIRCRAFT TRAVELING TO THIS COUNTRY. THE LEAD TIME FOR PERMIT IS 5 BUSINESS DAYS. DOCUMENTATION FOR PERMITS IS NEEDED ALONG WITH THE BUSINESS CONTACT INFORMATION.

ENSURE THAT A VALID COPY OF THE THIRD PARTY LIABILITY INSURANCE WITH "WAR RISK" CLAUSE IS ONBOARD THE AIRCRAFT.

A NAVIGATOR IS REQUIRED FOR INTER (DOMESTIC) COUNTRY FLYING.

AIRCRAFT ARE PROHIBITED FROM OPERATING DIRECTLY BETWEEN RUSSIA AND GEORGIA AIRPORTS. AIRCRAFT ARE ALLOWED TO OVERFLY GEORGIA WHEN OPERATING TO AND FROM RUSSIA AIRPORTS.
