THIS IS A JOINT MILITARY AND CIVIL AIRPORT, BUT NO PPR IS REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL HERE.

EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 1, 2007, AUTHORITIES IN BOLIVIA NOW REQUIRE ALL INDIVIDUALS (OLDER THAN 12 MONTHS) WHO VISIT THE COUNTRY TO OBTAIN A YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION. PROOF OF THE VACCINATION MUST BE RECORDED ON THE INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE OF VACCINATION WITH A SIGNATURE AND VALIDATION STAMP FROM AN APPROVED VACCINATION CENTER. NOTE: THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THIS REQUIREMENT IS WHEN A PHYSICIAN ISSUES A WAIVER BECAUSE THE PERSON CAN’T RECEIVE THE VACCINE DUE TO HEALTH REASONS. IF A WAIVER IS USED, IT MUST BE TRANSLATED INTO SPANISH AND THE TRAVELER MUST HOLD BOTH THE ORIGINAL WAIVER AND THE TRANSLATED COPY.

AIRPORT HOURS: 24 HOURS

IF THE A/C IS TO REMAIN IN BRAZIL FOR 24HRS OR MORE, THE FEDERAL TREASURY WILL ISSUE A “TEMPORARY ADMISSION” WHICH WILL BE REQ AT YOUR OTHER STOPS IN BRAZIL. THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN SIGN THIS DOCUMENT IS THE CAPT OR OWNER OF A/C. BEFORE A/C DEPARTS BRAZIL, CAPT MUST GIVE THIS DOCUMENT BACK TO CUSTOMS.

NO VACCINATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER BRAZIL FROM ANY COUNTRY. RECOMMENDED:
VACCINATION AGAINST YELLOW FEVER (10 DAYS PRIOR TO TRAVEL DATE) FOR ALL PASSENGERS VISITING ENDEMIC AREAS, INCLUDING RURAL AREAS IN: ACRE, AMAP, AMAZONAS, DISTRITO FEDERAL, GOIS, MARANHO, MATO GROSSO, MATO GROSSO DO SUL, PAR AND RONDNIA STATES, RORAIMA, TOCANTINS, AND TO OTHER STATE AREAS WHERE TRANSMISSION RISK EXISTS INCLUDING ALL THE STATES OF MINAS GERAIS AND SPECIFIC AREAS OF BAHIA, ESPIRITO SANTO, PARAN, PIAUI, RIO GRANDE SO SUL, SANTA CATARINA AND SAO PAULO.

WHEN DECATERING OR DISPOSING OF TRASH IN BRAZIL, POTENTIALLY INFECTIVE WASTE (LAV-RELATED) SHOULD BE IN WHITE PLASTIC SACKS, WHILE NON-INFECTIVE WASTE SHOULD BE IN BLACK PLASTIC SACKS.

SPRAYING A/C CABIN W/ INSECTICIDE SPRAY IS NOT REQ’D.

Beijing Information

AIRPORT OPERATING HOURS:
NORMAL HOURS 0001-2359 LOCAL
PEAK HOURS 0800-2200 LOCAL

SLOTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES. CAAC IS IMPLEMENTING STRICT FLOW CONTROL FOR ZBAA. ONLY 15 MOVEMENTS FOR BUSINESS/PRIVATE A/C ARE ALLOWED BETWEEN 0800-2200 LT. DURING PEAK HOURS 0800-2200 LCL (0001-1400UTC TIME) ONLY ONE ARRIVAL OR DEPARTURE SLOT WILL BE ISSUED PER ACFT PER DAY. AIRCRAFT CANNOT ARRIVE AND DEPART DURING PEAK HOURS ON THE SAME DAY, SO TECH STOPS AREN’T PERMITTED. SLOTS VALID +/-30 MINS. ALL SLOT TIMES CONFIRMED ARE IN ZULU/UTC TIME.

A PPR IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS LOCATION.

ALL LANDING PERMIT REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED A MINIMUM OF 5 WORK DAYS PRIOR TO THE FLIGHT. OVERFLY PERMIT REQUEST REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 3 WORK DAYS. LANDING PERMIT REQUESTS TO ZBAA NEED TO BE SUMITTED AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE DUE TO SLOT REQUIREMENTS. LANDING PERMIT REQUESTS FOR COMMERCIAL CHARTER LARGE AIRCRAFT, WITH MORE THAN 20 PAX, MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST 15 DAYS IN ADVANCE.

UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY CHINA CAAC OR LOCAL AUTHORITIES NO MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO ARRIVE ON A FLIGHT CAN DEPART ON THAT FLIGHT (FEWER MAY LEAVE THAN ARRIVE, BUT NOT MORE).

Kathmandu Information

AIRPORT OPERATING HOURS: 0630-0030 LOCAL

NO SLOTS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS AIRPORT.

PPR IS REQUIRED FOR ALL AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS INTO THIS AIRPORT. PPR MUST BE REQUESTED AT LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE.

PRIVATE AND CHARTER OVERFLIGHT AND LANDING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED AND A MINIMUM OF 4 WORKING DAYS IS REQUIRED. AIRSPACE IS ONLY OPEN FOR AIR TRAFFIC BETWEEN 0030Z – 1800Z EVERY DAY. IF THE FLIGHT LANDING AFTER 1615Z, PLS INDICATE THIS ON THE LANDING PERMIT REQUEST.

CERTIFICATE OF SIMULATOR TRAINING IS REQUIRED FOR ALL INSTRUMENT APPROACHES AND PROCEDURES INTO KATHMANDU/VNKT. ONLY THE PILOT IN COMMAND OF THE AIRCRAFT IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE SIMULATOR TRAINING. ONCE THE CERTIFICATE IS OBTAINED, IT MAY BE VALID FOR FIVE TO TEN YEARS. COPY OF THE CERTIFICATE MUST BE SUBMITTED TO CIVIL AVIATION, ALONG WITH THE LANDING PERMIT REQUEST.
