In last Friday’s AVsavvy question, we showed you a flight schedule and some airport information and asked you to find the error.

Below is the answer and explanation. Thank you to everyone who participated. We are happy to report a majority of you got it right. J

Answer 1. The schedule won’t impact the landing permit
Incorrect. The landing permit won’t be issued until a departure schedule is known and an airport slot is obtained.

Answer 2. The landing permit will not be granted until a departure time is known and an airport slot is confirmed
Correct. The arrival and departure airport slots must be obtained prior to processing the landing permit.

Answer 3. Aircraft can’t operate from RKSS to VHHH so the permit won’t be granted
Incorrect. There are no restrictions for operating from RKSS to VHHH.

Answer 4. A China landing permit is needed and not a Hong Kong landing permit
Incorrect. A Hong Kong landing permit is needed and not a China landing permit.
