Here’s another chance to test your “AVsavvy”.

Which airport(s) below require that the pilot in command (PIC) provide a simulator training certificate before they will allow you to land there.

Airport Information

MHTG
PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN REQUESTING A HONDURAS LANDING/TAKEOFF PERMIT,
THERE IS NO NEED TO REQUEST A CENAMER OVERFLIGHT PERMIT. HONDURAS IS
AN EXCEPTION DUE TO THE FACT THAT CENAMER “IS” HONDURAS ATC. THE OTHER
CENAMER COUNTRIES WILL STILL REQUIRE A CENAMER OVERFLIGHT IN ADDITION TO
A LANDING/TAKEOFF PERMIT FOR THAT RESPECTIVE COUNTRY.

VNKT
CERTIFICATE OF SIMULATOR TRAINING IS REQUIRED FOR ALL INSTRUMENT
APPROACHES AND PROCEDURES INTO KATHMANDU/VNKT. ONLY THE
PILOT IN COMMAND OF THE AIRCRAFT IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE SIMULATOR
TRAINING. ONCE THE CERTIFICATE IS OBTAINED, IT MAY BE VALID FOR FIVE
TO TEN YEARS. COPY OF THE CERTIFICATE MUST BE SUBMITTED TO CIVIL AVIATION,
ALONG WITH THE LANDING PERMIT REQUEST.

LSZS
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE MANAGEMENT BOARD OF THE ENGADIN AIRPORT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE EXECUTIVE BOARD AND THE FOCA (FEDERAL OFFICE OF
CIVIL AVIATION) HAS IMPLEMENTED A COMPULSORY FAMILIARIZATION BRIEFING
FOR JETS AND MULTI ENGINE AIRCRAFT. BEFORE AN AIRCRAFT CAN OPERATE
TO THIS AIRPORT, PILOTS MUST COMPLETE AN ONLINE COMPULSORY
FAMILIARIZATION BRIEFING. THIS COURSE IS AVAILABLE ON THE FOLLOWING
WEBSITE: WWW.ENGADIN-AIRPORT.CH/

LPMA
DUE TO AIRCRAFT PARKING SHORTAGE AT LPMA AIRPORT, IT IS MANDATORY
FOR ALL FLIGHTS INVOLVING OPERATORS WITHOUT SCHEDULED COORDINATION
REQUEST, TO HAVE PRIOR PERMISSION FOR LANDING AND PARKING OPERATIONS.
PRIOR PERMISSION IS ALSO REQUIRED FOR SCHEDULED AND NON-SCHEDULED
REVENUE FLIGHTS INVOLVING AIRCRAFT WITH A CAPACITY IN EXCESS OF
10 PAXS ONLY. THIS IS NOT REQUIRED FOR PRIVATE NON-REVENUE FLIGHTS.
PILOT-IN-COMMAND OF REVENUE FLIGHT MUST HAVE HAD AT LEAST ONE
LANDING/TAKEOFF AT FUNCHAL AIRPORT WITHIN THE LAST SIX MONTHS. IF
THE PIC DOES NOT HAVE ANY FLIGHT EXPERIENCE INTO FUNCHAL WITHIN THE
LAST SIX MONTHS, IT WILL BE MANDATORY TO MAKE AN INSPECTION FLIGHT
PRIOR TO ARRIVING WITH PASSENGERS.
THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND MUST ALSO HAVE AT LEAST 200 HOURS ON TYPE
AIRCRAFT CONCERNED.

Based on the above information, which option below is correct? Answer below and come back next Friday to see if you got the answer right!
